Breaking Her (Love is War #2) by R.K. Lilley

Beware of Spoilers!

Star Ratings:

Heroine (Scarlett): 5/5

Hero (Dante): 5/5

Plot: 4.5/5

Grovel: sort of

Cheating: see triggers

HEA: yes (although would have loved some babies)

Triggers: the scenes with the ‘cop’ almost made me throw up- had to skip most of it, rape of heroine, H does not sleep with anyone during separation but h does to hurt H but I totally forgave her

Average score: 4.5/5

Best Lines: h: True love is a bitch.

Worst Lines: none (aside from the scenes with the cop)

Personal Review:

Forget breaking him and her…this broke me!

It was such an emotional ride but I am at peace now and now I need to take a breather and watch a light-hearted comedy to regroup.

Random Ramblings:

  • Great dedication to heroes at the beginning
  • These two books totally fed my pessimistic side and I loved every moment of it!
  • I did start to get frustrated with the H and h when I wanted answers and they kept promising answers but as soon as they were together it was all about the sex!
  • Poor Bastian
  • I completely understand every action that the h took and I do not blame her for anything

Overall Feeling:

So many feels…
